Occupancy rate measures the percentage of available nights that are booked on a rental property.


Occupancy Rate Formula

Occupancy Rate = (Booked Nights ÷ Available Nights) × 100


Example

  • Booked nights: 20
  • Available nights: 30

Occupancy Rate = 66.7%

Occupancy rate shows:

Good Occupancy Rates

  • 60%–75% → Strong performance
  • 75%–90% → Excellent performance
